The Tenhave Burr Oak
This large, dead burr oak at the south entrance of Tenhave Woods in Royal Oak was under consideration of being removed. In an effort to retain this wildlife tree, The Royal Oak Nature Society reached out to Tree First. We thought it important for the public to see the report to better reveal how in-depth and valuable tree risk assessments can be, so we posted the entire report on our website.
A few months after the initial assessment and report, the city has decided to allow the tree to remain standing! This is an awesome victory for conservation arboriculture and our local wildlife!
Below are some pictures taken on the day of the assessment.
